Our trip will start in Athens, where you will visit the historic Acropolis and its Museum and so many other attractions. You will be amazed by the vibrancy of this city, the amazing world-famous Greek cuisine will enchant you and the night life will captivate you.

Following Athens, we will set sail for the island of Mykonos, a cosmopolitan island with the famous windmills, Little Venice and of course the vibrant night life.

Our next stations are none other than Kusadasi and Ancient Ephesus where we will travel through time and be swept away by the majestic classical city of Ephesus.

We couldn’t exclude Patmos from such a trip. Perched atop the southeast Aegean Sea, this tiny island enjoys a big reputation as one of Christianity’s most ancient pilgrimage sites. It was here that John wrote his famous “Apocalypse” at a time when Patmos was a prison island of exile.

Next, we will embark to Heraklion and from there go to the grand ancient city of Knossos – birthplace of Minoan civilization, take in centuries of history, architecture and art, and learn about the legends of Daedalus, Theseus and the formidable Minotaur.

Our final station before going back to Athens will be Santorini, a real “jewel” for Aegean and a dream destination for people all around the globe. There you will have the chance to experience the amazing sunset at Oia while you discover its beauty that can be found in every single alleyway.

Schedule

1st Day

You will meet upon arrival at Athens International Airport with our representative and be transferred at your hotel. After you settle in your room the rest of the day will be free as to familiarize yourself with the oldest capital of Europe or to choose one of our tours from the special section.

2nd Day

After breakfast you will be picked up from your hotel in order to have a guided tour of the city. Our expert guides will take you to the first station, the famous Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896.

2nd Day

Our next stations will be the Prime Minister's residence (ex Royal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian's Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).

2nd Day

We will also visit Acropolis and admire the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally "the harmony between material and spirit", the monument that "puts order in the mind", the Parthenon. Continuing, we will visit the place where the statues found at last their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis Museum.

3rd Day

After breakfast, you will be transferred from your hotel at the port of Piraeus in order to embark on your cruise. We will set sail at 11:30 am from Piraeus port and arrive at Mykonos island at 18:00 pm. Upon arrival, you will have the opportunity to visit the Windmills in Chora, which are among the most recognized landmarks of the island and one of the most famous Mykonos attractions along with Little Venice. They were used for many centuries in order to refine grain with the help of the high winds that blow on the island but as technology progressed, the use of the mills declined, and now the ones that survived are used as private homes or museums. It is highly recommended that you visit Kato Myloi and walk up the hill in Chora and visit the windmill of Boni that is now a museum. The view from up there is incredible, and it’s also one of the best places to watch the sunset.

3rd Day

Stroll around Mykonos town and lose yourself in the winding alleys of Mykonos town with the white houses, blue doors and windows and colorful bougainvilleas. The island has also one of the best shopping scenes in Greece. In the alleyways of the town, you can find the most famous designer labels, jewelry shops, and leather goods along with very attractive shops selling traditional products and souvenirs.

3rd Day

Finally, you can enjoy your cocktail at little Venice, a neighborhood with colorful houses built on the edge of the sea. It took its name due to its resemblance with Venice. Nowadays the houses have been turned into elegant bars and restaurants and are among the best places in town to watch the sunset while sipping your drink. Departure from Mykonos island at 23:00 pm.

4th Day

We will arrive at Kusadasi at 07:30 and head to the Ancient Ephesus, one of the largest open-air archaeological museums and get lost in centuries of history as we discover this classical city. Admire the Odeon, Hadrian’s Temple, the Terrace Houses, the spectacular Library of Celsus and of course the Great Theater of Ephesus, carved into Mt Pion.

4th Day

Going back to Kusadasi, we will have time to explore the huge covered bazaar of the city and the numerous historic sites or even relax and enjoy food or coffee on one of the seaside restaurants or cafes of the port. At 13:00 pm the cruise departs from Kusadasi.

4th Day

Later, we will arrive at Patmos island (17:45 pm) and after admiring the beauty of the port, we will head to the Medieval Chora and explore its alleys. Chora was built on top of a hill in the 1000s to protect against pirate attacks. On that hill, one can find the awe inspiring Byzantine fortress that encompasses the Monastery of St John. The town is an architectural jewel of traditional white washed houses and medieval churches and has been declared a UN World Heritage site. Another important cultural attraction of the island and an UNESCO World Heritage site is the cave of Apocalypse where you can find English speaking tours explaining the story of St John and the revelations he received from God through a cleft in the rock in the year 95AD. Visit the thousand year old Monastery of Saint John and a museum showcasing ancient texts and treasures in Chora and then enjoy your drink or late coffee at the busy square of Agia Levia. Our cruise will depart at 21:30 pm from Patmos island.

5th Day

The cruise ship arrives early in the morning (7:00 am), at Heraklion, Crete. Sailing into the port, we will admire the imposing walls of Koules Fortress emerging from the sea. After disembarking, our destination will be the famous ancient city of Knossos – birthplace of Minoan civilization – where our guide will reveal the history surrounding Knossos and we will travel through time just by admiring this majestic place. We will be led around the Throne Room, the apartments and rooms around the Central Court, the Queen’s Megaron and the impressive Grand Staircase. Following this excursion, we will return to Heraklion where we have some time to spend at port, admiring the alleys, shops and the view and then depart at 12:00 pm for our next destination.

5th Day

At 16:30 pm our cruise ship will arrive at Santorini, a dream destination for many due to its majestic, breathtaking and romantic sunset, the caldera, the volcano and so much more as it is one of the top tourist destinations in Greece. Upon disembarking, we will head to Oia and start by exploring Oia’s stairways and hidden paths and discover the infinite beauty that can be found at every corner of this island such as the breathtaking and out of this world vistas. Shopping while at Santorini is a must and so, we can visit some of the numerous souvenir shops of Oia in order to purchase gorgeous pottery and local crafts. The charming searches should also be included in this program in order to admire outstanding, valuable iconography and other objects of Greek Orthodox religious art. Finally, we couldn’t leave without admiring the spectacular, jaw-dropping sunset. You can enjoy it either from the vantage point at the Castle of Oia or try one of the finest wines in one of Oia’s restaurants while you admire the sunset. Soon after, we will return at the island’s port as the cruise ship embarks at 21:30 pm.

6th Day

Arrival at 7:00 am at Piraeus and private transfer to Athens International Airport.
